Charles, a heartfelt and eloquent tribute to the Bass-playing legend that was Joe Long. As great a musician as he was, that paled compared to what a sweet, kind and humble person he was. I was honored to call him friend, and you honored him with your timeless prose!
What an excellent write up on Mr. Joe Long of the Four Seasons!!!! I am a huge fan of the band and have followed them since I was 11 years old in the early 70’s. The two albums you mentioned, Genuine Imitation Life Gazette and Chameleon are two of my favorite albums of all time and I play them continuously to this day. Rest In Peace Joe Long, condolences to your family and Mr. Alexander, an article well written on Joe Long who was a member of USA’s greatest band, the Four Seasons.
Excellent tribute to Joe’s very rich life and why say more? We agree entirely and must congratulate you on a wonderful literary celebration of an extremely talented and gifted man’s life! We are sure that Joe would have been very happy to have read such a moving account . We will miss him. God bless him. George and Jackie Ingram (long time U.K. fans)
